Supervisor of the Quarter

Darrell Purvis, Sanitation Supervisor, has been chosen as Supervisor of the Quarter.

Employee of the Month

Civil Designer Roy Lilja has been selected as Employee of the Month.


Employee of the Year

Brian Burns has been selected as the Lynn Haven Employee of the Year.

Firefighter of the Year

Willie "Ivy" Walker has been selected as the Lynn Haven Firefighter of the Year.


Police Officer of the Year

Steve Pointer has been selected as the Lynn Haven Police Officer of the Year.

Explore Florida Past & Present

The Library's Summer Program for children ages 6-12

... begins Tuesday, June 12 from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
The program runs for six consecutive Tuesdays through July 17th at City Hall Annex, 108 E. 9th Street.
Preregistration at the Library is encouraged.

Each week there will be stories, guest speakers, crafts and music.
Children can earn prizes for reading books during the summer.

Miss Firecracker Pageant

We are currently accepting entries into the very competitive Lynn Haven Miss Firecracker Pageant. The entry categories
cover ages 0-23, females only.

The deadline for entry into the Miss Firecracker Pageant is May 25, 2012.

This year the pageant will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Lynn Haven Community Center.

We encourage the winners to ride in the Lynn Haven July 4th parade and participate in our festivities.

The Miss Firecracker Pageant is a preliminary pageant to the Miss Florida Palm State Scholarship Pageant
July 22, 2012 – location To Be Announced.

Lynn Haven Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Report Available

In accordance with Section 163.356(3)(c), Florida Statutes, the fiscal year 2010/2011 annual report for the Lynn Haven CRA has been filed with the City Clerk and is available for inspection online at http://cityoflynnhaven.com/cra/resources.htm.

Bay County Economic Development Public Funding and Activity Report

The Bay County Economic Development Alliance (EDA) is a public-private partnership comprised of Bay County and the Cities of Panama City, Lynn Haven and Callaway; Panama City-Bay County Airport and Industrial District; Port Panama City Port Authority; Gulf Coast Workforce Board; Bay County Chamber of Commerce; Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce; and 20 private businesses and education providers.

FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps

The new Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the City were adopted by the City Commission in June, 2009.
