CITY OF LYNN HAVEN COMMUNITY RATING SYSTEM

City of Lynn Haven Community Rating System Progress Report 2012

On August 24, 2010, the City of Lynn Haven’s City Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2010-08-513, updating the Bay County Local Mitigation Strategy Plan. Upon acceptance, the City committed to continued participation in the updating and expansion of the Bay County Local Mitigation Strategy Plan. This report shall serve as part of the City’s effort to continue to update and expand on the Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Plan, and shall serve as the annual progress report required as part of the City’s continued participation in the National Flood Insurance Programs (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS).

Lynn Haven Building Safety Department

POTENTIAL HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE SAVINGS

Your city commissioners recently received a letter from a Lynn Haven resident stating that the city’s updated ISO/BCEGS (Insurance Services Office Building Code Effectiveness Grading System) rating has resulted in an annual savings of $357.00 on his homeowner’s insurance for the current year. This savings was obtained when the resident sent a copy of the ISO notification letter (dated April 25, 2012) to his insurance agent.
Different carriers offer various discounts to their policy holders, and you are invited to review the newest ISO-BCEGS letter attached HERE :

Lynn Haven Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Report Available

In accordance with Section 163.356(3)(c), Florida Statutes, the fiscal year 2010/2011 annual report for the Lynn Haven CRA has been filed with the City Clerk and is available for inspection online at http://cityoflynnhaven.com/cra/resources.htm.

Bay County Economic Development Public Funding and Activity Report

The Bay County Economic Development Alliance (EDA) is a public-private partnership comprised of Bay County and the Cities of Panama City, Lynn Haven and Callaway; Panama City-Bay County Airport and Industrial District; Port Panama City Port Authority; Gulf Coast Workforce Board; Bay County Chamber of Commerce; Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce; and 20 private businesses and education providers.
