The Beautification Board held a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. in the Lynn Haven Library.

Jeannette Yount called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes from July 19, 2005 were presented for approval:

Item #3 Audience Participation:
None
Item #4 Kinsaul Park Grant Phase II:
Linda LuCante gave a presentation regarding future plans for Kinsaul Park. This presentation is part of the Grant submittal process that enables municipalities to request funds from the State of Florida.
The Beautification Board approved these plans in a 7-0 vote:

Item #5 The "Florida Yard Stick" Handbook:
The subject of the "Florida Yard Stick" handbook was brought back to the agenda for discussion on how to initiate a program locally. This project is designed to educate the citizens in the area regarding how to be a successful gardener / landscaper in your own "back yard" while using techniques that are environmentally friendly to the area.
The board will continue to keep this item on the agenda to prospectively begin a program in our area.

Dan Smith announced that Arizona Chemical has environmental grants designed to educate children and adolescents.
