Firefighter of the Year - 2009
Firefighter Ben McWaters started with the Lynn Haven Fire & Emergency Services in June 2006. Firefighter McWaters had the highest call responses of all his fellow workers for the year 2008. He has obtained his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) since he has been employed with the City and is currently working on his Fire Science Degree.

July 4th Celebration
Come celebrate our "Beautiful Freedom,"Saturday, July 4th Lynn Haven style. Pack the kids, Grandma and Papa, Aunts and Uncles and start the day at City Hall (8:00 A.M.) with the Flag Raising Ceremony. Afterwards, hustle with your blankets and lawn chairs for a good spot along Ohio Ave to enjoy the parade (9:00A.M.). See the complete itinerary for a detailed list of activities and times. CRA Workshop
The Lynn Haven Community Redevelopment Board will hold a workshop on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, beginning at 8:00 AM in the Commission Meeting Room at City Hall, 825 Ohio Ave., Lynn Haven, FL 32444. The purpose of the workshop will be the discussion of the CRA project list update. The City Commission serves as the CRA Board. The public is invited to attend.
FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps
The new Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the City were adopted by the City Commission in June, 2009.

Lynn Haven CRA – RFQ for eligible architect list
The Lynn Haven Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) seeks qualification statements from qualified architects with knowledge of historically appropriate architectural design, to be placed on a pre-approved list of architects for the CRA's Storefront Assistance Program. Qualified professionals who are interested in participating may obtain a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) online or at Lynn Haven City Hall, 825 Ohio Avenue, Lynn Haven, FL 32444, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Qualification statements should be submitted to the City of Lynn Haven by 9:00 AM, CST, Tuesday, June 30, 2009. For additional information, please call the City Purchasing Agent at (850) 265-7520.

This service is only available to individuals holding a current Florida Driver License or Florida Identification Card.
