CITY COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 30, 2003 - 12:00 P.M.
The City Commission held a special meeting on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at 12:00 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room at City Hall.
Present:
Walter T. Kelley, Mayor
Antonius G. Barnes, Mayor Pro Tem/Commissioner
Harold Haynes, Commissioner
Roger P. Schad, Commissioner
Frances Wittkopf, Commissioner
John B. Lynch, City Manager
Doug Sale, City Attorney
Matt Riemer, Police Lieutenant
Mayor Kelley called the meeting to order and gave the Invocation. The Pledge of Allegiance followed.
Item #3. Resolution 2003-04-328, Roger Schad and Harold Haynes declared elected to Commission Seats #3 & #4, respectively:
City Attorney Sale read this proclamation in its entirety.
Motion by Commissioner Barnes: To approve as presented.
Second to the motion: Commissioner Wittkopf.
On Vote:
Barnes: aye
Schad: aye
Wittkopf: aye
Haynes: aye
Kelley: aye Motion passed: 5-0
Item #4. Administer Oaths of Office:
Federal Magistrate Larry Bodiford administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Harold Haynes. Commissioner Haynes was unopposed for Seat #4.
City Attorney Doug Sale administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Roger P. Schad. Commissioner
Schad was unopposed for Seat #3.
Mayor Kelley congratulated both men on their re-election.
Item #5. Comments by incumbent Commissioner’s:
Commissioner Schad stated that it has been a privilege to serve the City and work with the Commission.
Mr. Schad stated that he is proud of the way the Commission has worked together for the good of the citizens and the accomplishments that have been made.
Commissioner Haynes stated that it has been an honor to serve the citizens of Lynn Haven and at the conclusion of this term he will have served for ten years.
Mr. Haynes further stated that he concurs with his colleague that the Commission does work well together and has been successful for the citizens of the City.
There was no further business to discuss and the meeting was adjourned at 12:08 p.m.
