Brad Price- Firefighter of the Year 2008 Firefighter of the Year 2008 In November of 1993 Willard Bradley Price lost three nephews to a house fire. On that day he decided to he would do what he could to prevent that tragedy from happening to anyone else. He joined a volunteer fire department and started taking courses to learn all he could about the latest firefighting practices. On February 17th of 2006, Firefighter Price began working for the city of Lynn Haven and is currently assigned to ‘B’ Shift. He has since become a certified Emergency Medical Technician, a state certified Fire Inspector, a Level 1 Fire Instructor, and is close to completing a Fire Science degree. With the knowledge and experience he’s gained, Brad mentors the Firefighters on his shift that are less experienced than he, and assists his supervisors implement ongoing training for these firefighters. To this day he continues his more than 12 years of volunteer service with the fire department and ambulance service of Wewahitchka. His spare time is spent with his family and coaching youth baseball and football.
