City Manager, City of Lynn Haven

The City of Lynn Haven, located in Northwest Florida, a full-service community with a population of approximately 20,000, has an opening for City Manager.  The City’s workforce consists of approximately 155 employees with a total budget around $26 million.  Departments include Public Works, Police, Fire, Leisure Services, Streets, Fleet Management, Administration, Finance, Library, Building Services, Water, Sewer, Sanitation and Development and Planning. 

The City Manager reports to a five-member Commission that are elected at-large for staggered four-year terms.  The requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field and considerable experience in a responsible management or administrative position in municipal government (MPA, MBA or MA and Florida experience desired).  The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in all areas of administration, community development, finance, strong budget background, planning and economic development and knowledge of applicable Florida Law.  In addition, growth management as well as infrastructure and public facility construction experience is essential.  Salary range is $100,000 - $140,000 depending on qualifications.
