There has been some incorrect information about the City’s Stormwater Master Plan and the LMI Areas
There has been some incorrect information about the City’s Stormwater Master Plan and the LMI Areas talked about lately. Projects that affect the LMI Areas and are included in the Stormwater Master Plan are:
-Virginia Ave Ditch
Work has been completed on the 15th St Ditch and Virginia Ave ditch. Significant improvements have been made on 11th St until funding is available to replace the current line with an upsized 54” RCP line. The Railroad Ditch cleaning project is expected to begin in the coming days. City staff is working diligently to address all areas of the City and not focusing on one area more than another. We will continue to work on our projects, perform maintenance, and address citizen concerns in a diligent manner. The attached maps are flooding issues during Hurricane Sally, the LMI area is located inside the red lines.
The Master Plan can be found on the City’s website at: https://www.cityoflynnhaven.com/357/Stormwater-Master-Plan
Also, at the City Manager’s table talk, the Stormwater Division shared all of the successes and future projects for stormwater. It was very informative to residents that attended. The city manager has asked Mr. Lightfoot to share this presentation before the first commission meeting in April in a workshop for resident who are interested in the great information about the progress the city has made, and is making.
