Coach Selection Process
- Simply put, our leagues are not possible without our hardworking volunteer coaches. If you would like to coach a team, please register as a coach on CommunityPass.
- We consider a variety of factors when selecting our coaches, such as experience coaching and the timing of registration among others. In the event we have more head coaches register than we have teams for that age division, the Sports and Recreation department will decide and inform everyone via email who was selected to head coach.
- Unless there is a coaching shortage, coaches may only be the head coach for one team regardless of division.
Draft
- Each division will have a player evaluation process and a draft to make teams as even as possible.
- For all divisions, only siblings are guaranteed to be on the same team. If you do not want your children guaranteed to be on the same team, please email Sports@cityoflynnhaven.com.
- Coaches are allowed to pre-draft three players. Pre-drafted players will not participate in the draft and will automatically be placed on that coach’s team. Please note that the coach’s children must be included in the list of three players.
