LATEST PARKS & GROUNDS UPDATE:

PLAYGROUND CLOSURE: The new playground installation at Cain-Griffin Park Park is almost complete and the playground should be open by February 28, 2026. 

Fun in the sun is okay, but fun in the shade is much better! Sunshades were installed at the Sports Complex Playground in late September, making this playground our fifth shaded play area. A new Toy Library is ready for the littles at Porter Park Beach. Thanks to the Girl Scouts of Lynn Haven Troop 10105 for this awesome Silver Award Project!The Toddler Climber/Tunnel is finally ready and kid-approved for the littles to enjoy at Sheffield Park.A new little Oasis has been added to Sheffield and Kinsaul Parks. A new cold-water fountain & bottle-filler has been installed at the Concession buildings at both park locations.

Out with the old and in with the new. Several of the rusted BBQ grills at the picnic pavilions at Porter Park were replaced this week.Gone but never forgotten. The gravesites and headstones at the Lynn Haven Community Cemetery were cleaned this week.Just in time to beat the heat. New sunshades were recently installed at Kinsaul, Porter, and Sheffield Park Playgrounds. Porter Park - Thank you for your patience over the past couple of weeks while we completed repairs to the seawall, installed new concrete pads beneath our swings, and installed new sod and landscaping. In addition, new chevron guide striping was painted between each of the boat ramps, and a new swim rope and floats for the designated swimming area were installed in preparation for Spring enjoyment!
