1 new member is needed to serve on the Board of Adjustment.
Requirements to apply:
Must be a City of Lynn Haven resident.
Terms of office shall be appointed to a term of three (3) years & shall not serve more than two (2) consecutive terms.
The BOA is a five (5) member board.
The BOA is a deciding board that hears variance requests, per the Unified Land Development Code, Variance, Section 9.02.00 –Section 9.02.05
The BOA Meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m.; there may be some months when there are no items of discussion and the Board will not meet.

Responsibilities
The Board of Adjustment (BOA) consists of five members who are appointed by the City Commission. Each Board member sits for a three-year term, and may serve two consecutive terms. The Board of Adjustment’s powers and duties include the following:
- Act in an advisory capacity to the City Commission and to make recommendations to the City
- Authorize variances
- Commission concerning the need to study, revise, or amend city codes and ordinances affecting the growth and development of the city
